These three stories are part of a series (now trilogy) called Villa Venusia, related to the fictional erotic film shooting company mentioned in the stories. The title (Limewood) comes from the name of a fictitious island off Croatia, Lipa, on which these trees grow. The word lipa in all Slavic languages means the linden tree, which can grow very large and is revered as having healing properties. In our story, Lipa is the island on which Max Ready and his crew film literotic films in the Villa Venusia leased by the corporation of Madame Jeanne Lussec.
